What Do Demand Studios Copy Editors Do?
You can log in to your personal online Work Desk whenever you choose. When you log in, you will see a queue of articles that need to be edited. Once you claim an article, you will have 24 hours to either edit it and approve it or send it back to the writer with rewrite instructions. A rewritten article will later be directed back to your queue, and you will have four days to either approve or reject it.
If you do send an article back to a writer, they will have 4 days to re-write the article and return it for approval. If that writer lets the article expire, you will still be paid for editing the article.
As a copy editor, you will fact-check and edit articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and overall content.
How Much Will I Earn Editing Articles From Home?
Demand Studios pays $3.50 for every 300-500 word article reviewed, with most editors earning an average of $20 to $25 per hour, according to the company.
Demand Studios pays their writers and editors twice a week via PayPal (So you will need to have a PayPal Account set up if you do not already have one.)
These are freelance positions, so you will be responsible for your taxes. If you earn more than $10 with Demand Studios, they will send a 1099 form to the IRS on your behalf.
