Just For Moms: Less Clutter Means Less Eating?

554758_the_counterThis is fascinating to me: Studies show that having clutter in your kitchen, like mail and other papers, triggers you to eat 15% more! Seeing clutter increases the stress hormone, cortisol, which fuels over eating and cravings for sugary and starchy foods.

My kitchen counter has a dedicated space for mail, school work and memos, bills to pay, etc.  No wonder I am always opening that darn refrigerator door!

So get rid of the clutter and eat less?  Sounds to easy and I certainly have my doubts,  but my counters are going paper-less anyway, ASAP!

Stay tuned for updates from the kitchen!!
