Tis the season for …uh oh….shorts, skirts and the dreaded bathing suits!! If you are not like me, then you will be embracing all these fun sexy clothes. But alas, if you are anything like moi, you could swear that little pair of white shorts is mocking you. Personally I never understood what was so wrong about wearing jeans to the beach. really…white jeans can look oh so delish lounging on a beach towel, right??
Yea. Ok. So I need to face reality and bare my legs at some point this summer, I know. As I desperately searched for some magical potions that will erase the cellulite that has taken up permanent residence on my thighs, I came across this tip that I thought sounded worth a try: a coffee scrub! The ground coffee beans help redistribute fat cells to decrease the look of cellulite and make our thighs look smoother. Plus, the caffeine helps tighten blood vessels…even pesky varicose veins look better. (I figured they couldn’t look much worse at any rate…)
Since I love, seriously love, my coffee, I figured it couldn’t be all bad ….so I tried it and while I loved the aroma, I will my cellulite was not too amused and refused to vacate permanently. But for a temporary ‘tightening’ , and an overall smoother look (again, temporary) this is a fun thing to indulge in before heading out to a summer swim party! I think it did make things look better, and that certainly made me feel a bit more confident as I put on those arrogant white shorts!
Coffee Scrub You Can Make To Threaten Your Cellulite With:
Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup ground coffee and 3/4 cup olive oil. Massage over legs in the shower.
Make it Mocha! Just add 2 tsp. cocoa powder.
Make it Tropical! Just add 1/4 cup shredded coconut.
You can store extra scrub in an airtight jar for about two weeks!
And, a final disclosure here: That is so not me pictured. But now I am off to find a miracle potion to give me a flat belly just like that one. I will put my findings in a post later. Watch for it.
