Hi Meg, and welcome to Wannabe a work at Home Mom!
How did you get started blogging? And how long have you been blogging?
When I was a teen I used to “journal” online on a website called Kiwibox.com – an online community for teens based out of New York – I actually started my love of blogging here. Now that I am a mommy (And no where close to my teens) I wanted to continue a passion that I had years ago, so Just Another Mommy was born! I started JAMM on a whim back in Oct ’09 and it’s grown ever since. I love the bloggy buddies that I have made and the experiences that I have had due to my blog – I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! (:
What do you love most about blogging, and what do you like least about it?
I love the way it makes me feel when I post something passionate to me and others comment feeling the same way! I love being able to review products or offer new ones to my readers! I love meeting new people from all over the world and visiting their blogs! I love blog carnivals! I love alot of about blogging! What I like the least is remember to post something everday! Life gets in the way and sometimes I Have to force myself to sit down and post something!
How do you deal with blogger burnout-if you get it?
I leave my blog for a few days or I’ll join a new carnival for some new excitement. I’ve always learned that a new layout or blog makeover makes me want to post! There’s something about moving everything around, cleaning your blog out, and having a new look that makes me want to show it off to everyone!
What would you like readers to know most about your blog?
This is a good question! I’m going to say that I would like them to know that I am a laid back writer that loves to hear from other people, whether I agree or disagree with their opinions – I love to hear from everyone. I am always offering giveaways on my blog sometimes I have more than 1 going on at a time. I try to mix my posts with humor and truth, sometimes sarcasm, and tons of pictures! Also, if you follow on Twitter….I follow back! 🙂
What would you like readers to know most about you?
I am a 20’s something mommy of 1 – Jay who is 5 and starting Kindergarten this year! I am very active in my community and I tend to overfill my plate! I like busy, if I’m not on the go all the time, I feel bored and like I’m useless. I always accept new challenges, sometimes before any of my others are completed. I’m a fun loving, passionate, sarcastic, silly woman with a text book type A personality!
Your best advice to new bloggers just starting, or thinking about starting a blog?
Get a great blog layout (I know if you have a great blog look I’m more apt to stay a while & check it out) and start joining blog carnivals or Meme’s. Another thing is to just start following some bloggers your interested in and hopefully they will follow back! 🙂 Ps. GOOD LUCK!!
Anything you wish you would have done differently as a blogger so far?
Post more – I tend to get really busy at home and I can not post like I want to. I am going to try to work harder to post more often!
Future aspirations for yourself and/or your blog?
For myself? I’d love to make enough money off my blog or get a job due to my blog that I can work at home with my son and any future babies! For my blog? Just to grow everyday and get a great following of bloggers than share the same ideas, opinions, and interests as myself!
