Writer’s Domain is a writing platform that pays you for writing articles. The positives are that you can write when you want and from anywhere you choose. The negatives are that the pay is low ($3 to $3.50 per 200-250 word articles) and there may or may not be work available when you are ready to write.
You will need to submit a writing sample and be approved before you can log in take paid writing assignments. It usually takes just 2-3 days to find out if you have been accepted or not.
Once accepted, you can start taking assignments immediately. You can write as much or as little as you want to – there are currently no minimum or maximum requirements, just as long as quality guidelines are met.
You must be proficient in English and the language you’re writing in, if it’s not English. Writers must be able to work in the United States, have an Internet connection, and accept and abide by the Terms of Service. Basic spelling and grammar skills are also expected.
All articles will receive two ratings – one for grammar and one for content. The average of the two scores will determine each article’s overall rating. Payments are based on the article’s rating:
- $3 per article for a 2 or 3 star rating (the accepted minimum for any article submitted)
- $3.30 per article for a 4 or 5 star rating
