Most of us searching for work at home opportunities have heard about Lionbridge jobs. I personally have not applied or have worked for Lionbridge, but I may be in the minority here. From what I have read, there is an assessment test – two parts actually- that you must pass before you can be hired. Also, you will work as an independent contractor with Lionbridge if you do get accepted with them.
The test itself has been the subject of many work at home forums, and from what I can gather, is not too difficult if you read through the Lionbridge manual they send you before you take the test. I also get the impression that part 2 just might be the more difficult part of the test to pass.
The general understanding is that Lionbridge will not let you take the test again if you fail it the first time. However, I have heard from some people that they were able to get a second chance…so who knows for sure. My thoughts would be that if you were to fail either part of the test, you should go ahead and ask if you can retake it anyway.
As far as pay goes, the good news is that by all accounts Lionbridge pays very well. The ‘bad’ news is that the actual payment information is kept confidential – so we do not really know how much you might earn. Compensation may be task-based for some projects, while other projects may pay per hour. Lionbridge pays you via direct deposit to your bank.
Most Lionbridge jobs are computer based research and assessments – all work is done at home. They hire part-time and full-time for various work at home positions such as Ad Assessors, Internet Crowd Worker, and Internet Assessor. Because you would be working on a freelance basis, it is likely you can work for various clients on different projects.
Lionbridge does not charge any fees of any kind, but you will need to to provide your own equipment to complete the work as outlined in their job details, i.e., PC/laptop, high speed internet connection etc.
