So These Are Phone-Based Jobs? Will I Have to Make Sales Pitches?

As far as making sales pitches – while you will mainly be responsible for answering customer’s questions regarding billing and support, from time to time you may be doing ‘soft selling’ by suggesting additional services in response to customer needs.
How Much Does American Support Pay?
They do not disclose exactly how much they pay on the job description however they do indicate that their virtual customer support agents receive hourly pay plus bonuses.You are paid every week via direct deposit. (generally speaking, most virtual call center jobs pay about $8-$12/hour – just to give you an idea.) They also say that CSR’s are paid for ‘every minute worked’ – however it is not clear if this means actual talk time on calls or if you are paid each hour regardless of calls taken. This can differ with companies offering virtual call center jobs – so you will want to have this clarified if you are offered a job.
Who Can Apply For These Jobs With American Support?
You must be a US citizen and be at least 18 years of age to apply.
A couple of notes here – they are seeking applicants that can answer customer questions (basic information such as prices, programming, installation of services, billing, etc.) with appropriate and accurate information both in English and in Spanish.
You must have an High school education or equivalent.
At least one year of transferable experience required telephone/customer relations, knowledge of CRT procedures, mathematical aptitude is required.
Applicants must have acceptable background and credit history.
Home Office Requirements:
All virtual customer service representatives will use the LiveOps system to access American Support’s calls. This requires either a DSL or Cable broadband connection. LiveOps does not support a satellite or dial-up connection at this time.
A separate land line telephone that is dedicated to your home business will be necessary. This line must only be used to receive LiveOps or American Support incoming calls. This phone line must have all features disabled including voicemail and call waiting.
Please note that you are responsible for required home office equipment for this job, including internet service, computer, headsets and phone equipment. However, this a common requirement with most virtual call center jobs and most of which you probably have at home anyway.
What About Training? Will I Be Paid During Training?
All job training and orientation is done from your home via your computer. And yes, you will be paid for all training hours (training is usually completed in about 2-4 weeks.)
