What Do Live Operators Do?
A Live Operator is an independent contractor that works at home answering live inbound calls to verify a customer’s choice to order/change a service. You will be following a script and confirming required information for each specific customer. You will only be verifying services, there are no up-sells involved in the verification process

What Is An Independent Contractor?
Independent Contractors contract with a company to perform a job, however they are not employees of that company and as such usually do not receive benefits. Independent Contractors are responsible for setting up and paying their own Federal and State taxes on a quarterly basis, and will be sent a 1099 annually.
How Much Does VoiceLog Pay?
The nice part about working for VoiceLog is that this is a wah job with hourly pay! Live Operators currently earn $8.50/hr working for VoiceLog. You will be paid on the 8th and 22nd of each month via direct deposit.
Can Anyone Apply?
There are certain requirements applicants must meet to be offered a job with VoiceLog, however anyone who is a U.S. citizen and is at least 18 years of age may apply. (You will need your social security number to apply.)
What Are The Requirements?
You will need a second separate phone line for this job, and it must be installed before submitting your application. If you are in the process of having a second phone line installed,you can submit your application and include the installation date.This is the line you will use to complete your training.
Note: If you already have a home phone landline and a cellphone, it may be possible to use the home phone as your business line as long as you use your cell phone ONLY for personal calls.
This is something you would discuss during the initial phone interview. They may ask you to change your home phone number prior to starting the position to make certain personal phone calls are not an issue.
Other requirements include:
A quiet home office space
A personal computer with the following:
- Microsoft 2000, XP, Vista or 7 or MAC OS X,
- 2 Gigabytes of RAM,
- Pentium 4 1.6 GHz CPU (processor) or higher,
- Microsoft Word and Excel,
- Printer,
- Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher
A high speed cable or DSL Internet connection.
An e-mail account that is from a paid provider that will allow large attachments that are often sent with information to VoiceLog contractors.{ Free e-mail accounts typically have size limitations that may cause you to not receive all of the required information.}
VoiceLog currently requires background checks on its’ applicants. All contracted Operators sign a release stating that VoiceLog is permitted to run a background check on them at any given time.
What About Training?
All new Operators have three to four days of training. Training typically begins on Mondays and Tuesdays and is scheduled between the hours of 10 AM EST and 4 PM EST. You are not paid during your training.
Are There Any Fees or Costs To Apply?
There are no fees associated with the application process. However, you will need to dial-in to a conference line for training, so unless you have unlimited long distance, there will be long distance charges associated with your call. After your training is completed, long distance telephone service is not required to take customers calls.
