UnboundED is looking for someone with experience in math education to be their new content specialist. This is a full-time, virtual position based anywhere in the U.S. and is available immediately. Please note that occasional travel is required.

Currently the network – founded in 2005 – works with over 500 schools in Massachusetts, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia.
What Does a Remote Math Content Specialist Do, Exactly?
You will work from home, coordinating and collaborating with the math content team and and national experts to develop a Common Core open education resource curriculum for schools/districts. You will also collaborate on the development of professional development materials and resources for K-12 mathematics.
Some of the responsibilities this job entails include:
- Assist in creating mathematics instructional tools and professional development materials for K-12 educators.
- Lead and supervise professional development experiences for K-12 educators.
- Provide site-based support for schools and organizational partners through classroom observations and other PD experiences. (remember, occasional travel is required with this job)
- Assist in other K-12 mathematics content projects as required.
What Are the Requirements To Apply For This Position?
Applicants should have the following experience/requirements:
- Deep knowledge of mathematics content and the Common Core State Standards.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of current educational principles, best practices and theory related to mathematics education including deep knowledge of research-based instructional strategies that support mathematics education.
- Experience working in a K-12 school-based role; K-12 leadership experience preferred.
- Experience working with mathematics curriculum materials and standards, including knowledge of widely used OER tools such as the EQuIP rubric.
- Experience developing professional development materials.
- 3 years Math Education experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
