MySummerCamps.com is currently seeking writers to become regular contributors to their popular website directory. This is a 100% remote position.
How Does This Work?
This job allows you to work from home, or any location you choose, on your time, as long as all deadlines are met.
Writers receive all new writing assignments online. You will also submit your completed articles this way. The company provides all their new writers with style guides as well as article suggestions.
What Will I Write About?
Articles will generally be geared towards providing readers with information about various summer camps. A summer camp article could be along the lines of “Why pick a Marine Science Camp this summer?”, for example.
What Types of Skills Are They Looking For in Writers?
They are interested in applicants with the following traits:
- Strong and engaging writing skills
- Keen knowledge of one or more aspects of the summer camp world (Cities, programs, sessions, activities, etc..)
- Ability to write in an authoritative, unbiased tone
- 1+ years of journalism experience (nice to have)
- Strong research and fact-checking skills (nice to have)
How Much Will I Be Paid?
This writing job is through Internet Brands (ibpublishing.com), and generally they pay writers between $25-$40 per article. Of course, this is subject to change, and something you will want to determine before accepting work assignments.
