Just For Moms: Got Belly Bulge?

Even one piece bathing suits have a hard time hiding a belly bulge, let alone a bikini!  Research shows that more of us carry around extra belly bloat because we are sensitive to foods that cause belly-swelling gas.  So aside from doing a million or so sit-ups, what else can help flatten our tummies?

Try a cup of tea to help fight the battle of the belly bulge!

Fennel tea contains oils that relax tense stomach and intestinal muscles,  releasing air buildup. This licorice-flavored tea also has a mild diuretic effect, which helps the body get rid of excess fluid.

To brew a cup of Fennel tea, steep 1 tsp. of fenel seeds in boiled water for 10 to 20 minutes. Be sure to keep the cup covered to prevent the beneficial oils from evaporating. Enjoy hot or cold.
